“When we re-opened Camp Horseshoe in 2003, it was important for us to reunite the community of our original namesake that closed in 1990,” says Jordan Shiner, Owner/Director of Camp Horseshoe in Rhinelander, WI. “CampMinder’s alumni system is allowing us to reach out and rebuild our alumni base.”

Within three years of reopening Camp Horseshoe, the camp is already full for all of its sessions. According to Shiner, “By giving alumni accounts on our website and letting alumni search for friends and post messages to one another, we’re able to bring everybody closer. We are enrolling many children of long-lost alumni.”

Your Past, Your Future

CampMinder’s alumni system allows Camp Horseshoe to track children of alumni. Says Shiner, “These are our future campers, and CampMinder makes it easy for alumni to provide us with information so we know when it’s appropriate to invite second and third-generation campers to join us at camp through CampMinder’s Lead Management System.” Camp Horseshoe also uses CampMinder’s communication tools to easily mass email alumni and maintain an open a line of communication.

According to Shiner, “With CampMinder, we don’t have to go through long, complicated procedures to do what we want to do. CampMinder organizes us in such a way that allows us to use our information in whatever way we want to, without complicated procedures.”
